Keys to the Kingdom is an advanced course in prosperity consciousness. It has two purposes. First, it is designed to help you identify and change your limited beliefs about abundance, happiness, balance, and success. Second, it is intended to help you see the relationship between your spiritual growth and your participation in your spiritual community-Unity of Nashville.
As a tool for spiritual growth, this class will require an extraordinary level of commitment designed for those of you who are ready and willing to take the very large leap in faith necessary to transform a consciousness of lack and limitation into a consciousness of true abundance.
This curriculum was created by Rev. David Owen-Ritz. In my 18 years of teaching principle, it has been the most effective in advancing students to a higher level of understanding through joyful yet rigorous spiritual practice (which includes a deeply rewarding experiment with tithing) than any other. This is an advanced course in that it requires a very conscious commitment to “do the work.”
This is a course based on the spiritual principle of tithing; you must be willing to tithe of your “time, talent and treasure” as well as attend all eight classes and complete all of the assignments. There is a $50 charge (our cost) for class materials which includes seven (7) cd’s and a Course Workbook.
Pre-registration is required and it is open only to those who have never taken this class before. It is considered a “closed class” (single night attendance is not feasible because of the progressive nature of the curriculum).
If you are willing to make this commitment, you will profoundly alter your experience of life’s possibilities – that’s a guarantee. This is the class that might change your life! It changed mine.
Sunday, March 25th . there will be a brief orientation immediately following the Sunday service in the Sanctuary for all interested students.
Yes! I am willing to make an extraordinary commitment to my spiritual growth. By registering, I understand that:
– I am willing to tithe 10% of my TIME to myself over the next 8 weeks by consciously reserving it for daily prayer, meditation and the exercises and assignments contained in this course. 10% of normal waking hors is about 90 minutes a day devoted to my spiritual growth.
– I am willing to tithe 10% of my TALENT for the next 8 weeks to the world around me by serving unselfishly in a volunteer capacity for some organization, person, or cause that has personal meaning for me. 10% of a 40-hour work-week is 4 hours of volunteer service a week.
– I am willing to tithe 10% of my CURRENT INCOME for the next 8 weeks to this class, which will be the source of my spiritual food for this period. 10% of my income from all sources, given weekly in class.
– I am willing to attend all 8 classes faithfully and complete all weekly assignments.
I understand that if I fulfill the above commitment and do not experience a new level of awareness of the abundance of life and my own highest potential, I may request that my total contribution during the period of this class be returned to me at the conclusion of the course.
I understand that if I do not fulfill the above commitment, I will not be entitled to request the return of my financial tithe for this class period.
FAQ’s ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
What exactly is tithing? Tithing is a spiritual principle that this center adheres to (as do I) where we joyfully give 10% of our gross income to the source of our spiritual growth (in this case, Unity of Nashville). For the duration of the class, you will be asked to tithe. We trust you will find it so beneficial, you will continue to do so!
Do I really have to do volunteer work too? You don’t have to do anything. But our Principle tells us…you get out of life what you put into it. If you expect radical growth, this program gives you a structure to achieve it.
How much time, and where do I volunteer? Four hours a week of “selfless service” is the recommended plan. You can do that anywhere, or thru the church as a Friend, Usher/Greeter, Hospitality, or in our Outreach Project. But your options are unlimited.
How will you know if I’m really tithing? We won’t. It’s up to you.
