About Eddie Watkins Jr.
Eddie has enjoyed success while working with stars such as Diana Ross, the Four Tops and even Marvin Gaye. His success was due to the fact that at the young age of 13 he found his passion in the bass guitar and during the time of Motown there was a demand for bass guitar players. As Motown packed up and moved to Los Angeles, so did Eddie in hopes to extend his reach. The move proved good for Eddie as he began playing bass for some big stars such as James Brown and Barbara Streisand. Eddie enjoyed all the fame, success and money but along with that opulence came substance abuse. While in recovery, Eddie experienced a spiritual awakening that led him to focus on creating a world that works for everyone through his musical talents. Since then, he has held numerous positions as musical director for two Centers for Spiritual Living and has traveled throughout the country sharing his gift. Won’t you join us for an evening of unparalleled Motown hits and spiritual song as Eddie takes you back in time? RSVP on Facebook.
